That was not fun lugging back & forth on the train to work!

Laura ~ thanks!

Stacy ~ I think this a book everyone should read in their lifetime. I don't necessarily agree with her black & white strong views but it makes you question a lot around you.

Ryan ~ yes, what a moral dilemma though. My grandmother gave me a copy when I was in high school, and I finally got around to reading it in my early 30s. Many aspects of Ayn Rand's philosophy are repellant to me, but I see your point about self-responsibility and accountability being an important part of the message, and that's certainly a positive thing (and a much needed in our society, no doubt) And it is an influential -- and thought provoking -- book; I'm glad I read it. I enjoyed your review!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06932060902413958983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6333060032717260898.post-62310310510421598092009-09-21T09:05:35.851-04:002009-09-21T09:05:35.851-04:00Great review, Mel!Great review, Mel!Mary (Bookfan)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00573126476574980169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6333060032717260898.post-31114602510922608882009-09-21T09:04:44.318-04:002009-09-21T09:04:44.318-04:00My husband is just about to finish this.
