Happy Book Birthday!
In Wish by Alexandra Bullen, Olivia discovers a dressmaker who specializes in...well magical dresses! With each dress comes one wish.
Of course, there are rules Olivia must follow & so should you:
- no wishing for ridiculously unattainable and universal things, like world peace or and end to hunger and poverty
- no wishing for the same thing twice
- no wishing for more wishes
If you were fortunate enough to be granted three wishes, what would you wish for?
OK, well I guess I should be the first to answer...
- have the opportunity to go back to school and become a teacher
- have the opportunity to say goodbye to my Grandma. She passed away suddenly when I was five and I still think of her to this day
- my BFF meets 'the perfect guy' who sweeps her off her feet - she really deserves this and more :)

Ooh! This is tough - I'm really going to have to think about this! Maybe I'll do a blog post on it as well. . . :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thought provoking post.
ReplyDeleteI love that you would use one of your wishes to help you bff!
That's awesome and so self sacrificing.
I need to meditate on mine.
I know - when you take out the "I want to win the lottery" it's so much harder LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! Let's see...
ReplyDelete1. I'd like to be the best "me" possible
2. would like to be financially secure enough so that we could retire comfortably (winning the lottery would help!)
3. would like to travel the world and visit all of the places we haven't gotten to yet
Mine aren't as noble as yours, but hey, at least I'm willing to include my husband in two of my wishes! (I left out marrying a rock star!)*L*
Hmm I'm not sure what I'd wish for. I guess I've never really thought about it.
ReplyDeleteI would wish for:
ReplyDelete1) My sister to come home. She lives far away and I miss her.
2) My family to be safe and healthy always
3) To finish the book I started during NaNo
LOL, thanks for #3! There's still hope for me yet...
ReplyDeleteMine would be:
1-To relive the decision to quit University & :stay in school"
2-To actually write down the words in my head that could one day be a book (I'm a chicken with pen & paper) & make JAM Ink. a reality (wink, wink)
3-Yep, guy, sweep...sigh
